QUICKQ download: set it up on this Windows PC
Before this computer can run QUICKQ, two things need checking: that you have a 64-bit Windows 10 or 11, and that the installer came from the official distribution page. Once both are settled, download the file, let Windows finish its scan, and only then run it. Below you will find the pre-install checklist, the steps for your first connection, and the handful of snags people hit most often, so your first install goes through without a hitch.
Three things to sort out before you start
Confirm your Windows version, make room for the file, and get the official installer — three short moves and you are ready.
The button opens the official distribution page; make sure the source checks out before you run anything.
Which Windows versions this covers
Only 64-bit Windows 10 and Windows 11
Run through this list before you install
- Open Settings → System → About and confirm that the system type reads 64-bit and the version is Windows 10 or 11.
- Fetch the installer only from the official distribution page that this site links to, and check the file name against the official note before you download.
- When the file arrives, do not double-click it right away; let Windows Security finish its scan first.
- If an older QUICKQ is already running on the computer, close it completely first, or setup may trip over locked files.
Installing is half the job: your first connection
Setup does not count until you are actually connected, so walk through this sequence once.
| Step | Action | How to confirm |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Launch the client and sign in with your registered account | The route list appears once you are signed in |
| 2 | Pick a route from the list that shows a healthy status | The chosen route reads as available |
| 3 | Press the connect button | The status flips to Connected |
If you would rather see the whole thing from download to a working connection, follow the step-by-step tutorial ; and if something trips you up along the way, the FAQ is the first place to look.
Where people usually get stuck downloading
My browser blocks the download?
Browsers sometimes hold back a file they did not expect. First make sure the page you are on really is the official distribution page that the button on this site sends you to. Then open your browser's download list, choose Keep or Keep downloading when the warning appears, and double-click the file to continue.
A "protected your PC" warning pops up during setup?
Windows stops and asks twice about installers it has not seen before. As long as the file came from the official distribution page, click More info and then Run anyway to carry on. If you are not sure where the file came from, cancel the setup and grab a fresh copy from the official channel.
The installer says my system is not compatible?
This installer only works on 64-bit Windows 10 and Windows 11. Open Settings, then System, then About, and look at the system type to confirm. Older releases and 32-bit builds are not supported, so update Windows first and then install.
The download stops before it finishes?
A shaky network connection often cuts a download short. Come back to this page and press the download button again, or resume the task in your browser's download list. Once the file has fully landed, glance at its size against the note on the official page before you run it.
